In 2009, in conjunction with the Hightstown Parks and Recreations Committee, Downtown Hightstown organized a farmers market at Memorial Park. This weekly event, held on Friday nights from 4-8 pm, slowly grew in popularity as the summer progressed, culminating with a final week visitor count of over 400 people. Farmers and patrons alike enjoyed the market, and the only complaint was that it should have lasted longer.
Now heading into it’s 4th season, this event is becoming a long-standing Hightstown tradition. Hightstown Farmers’ Market will begin on Friday, June 8th and will continue every Friday of the summer through September 28th from 4-8PM. Come out and enjoy the fun atmosphere of this unique community event by the lake at Memorial Park, all while supporting local farms and businesses. We have a live music line-up for the season from 6-8 P.M., while all manner of fresh goods will be sold by market vendors. Paddle boat rides in Peddie Lake will also be available. Come out to enjoy the market, meet your neighbors, and make the most of Hightstown every Friday night!
